Day 2! part 2

Now when I look out the window it's a bit more cloudy than yesterday, which means that there's a great  part of the Empire State building I can't see! I honestly didn't think it was that high, but then again I haven't been standing at the foot of it yet. It'll probably just keep growing!

There a huge part of the city I haven't seen yet, including Central Park. Today I'm going out in the city with the Wittenbergs. I can't wait.
In the beginning, I was certain I'd be fine alone, creating my own contacts and being responsible on my own.
But now I'm endlessly glad that I know them, and they're kind of like my parents in the country - or rather on this side of the world!

My parents are further away than they've ever been, and when I wake up they come home from work, when I have my dinner they're fast asleep. It's like we're in two different worlds, even though I can easily imagine what they're doing now, and how the apartment must look just the same.
I don't have a phone or a computer, the internet is bad at the residence, so I haven't been able to reach them yet.

But whenever the Wittenbergs call to check on me, I always feel so glad and protected, and they've been so dear and welcoming to me already. So mum, I'm in good hands! <3

And today when I woke up and looked around my new room, I already started to feel more at home. And I realized that when someone else enters this door, it won't just be to a random room in the building, but a private home. It's coming into shape!
